I warmly welcome all readers of this book for showing interest towards our village.
Lánycsók – one of the most beautiful Hungarian village names, as it means “a kiss of a girl” – lies in the eastern part of Baranya county, a few kilometres away from Mohács and the Danube. It has around three thousand inhabitants, who are of various origins such as Hungarians, Germans, Serbs, Croats, and Romas. They spend their day to day life in piece, unity and diligent work.
The celebrations – vintage festivals, vine competitions, quire reunions – are all to serve both the interests of the locals and the guest arriving to this village.
The 21st Century homes, the neatly maintained public buildings, the infrastructure, the big green spaces and playgrounds are all characteristics of this place.
Be our guest, get to know our community, our traditions and habits through a personal experience, and indulge in the famously warm hospitability of our citizens.
